Comments on Women Character Models
-04/11/2001
Mike
"Magic" Crossmire has posted on the Camelot
Vault Dev Forums today
addressing several concerns regarding the female player model:
That
particular screenshot is fairly old. We've re-worked the proportions
of the figures quite a bit since then.
As
far as how the women in the game look: many of our actual female
testers expressed unhappiness when anything in the female humanoid
models was seen as unfeminine or unattractive. The model builders
and the animator spent lots of time giving them features and poses
to make our players happier. Proportions also have to be exaggerated
somewhat so you can easily tell male and female characters
apart--especially when you have a limited number of polygons to work
with.

Once

Midgard
Preview
-04/11/2001
Camelot
HQ has written up A
New Preview
covering the new realm added to the beta 3 stage of DAoC, the Norse
Realm:
Not
only is the landscape unique and detailed, but the new monsters are
just astounding! The creatures look different from what we have
seen before in the Albion realm and the attention to detail in the
creation of these monsters is superb.
